Peoria Voters: Beware of Tainted Golden Tickets
LD27 Chair Carol Ayotte and LD28 Chair Lori Bango led the charge of gaslighting PUSD constituents, putting a Democrat on the golden ticket
Are you familiar with the Kamala Effect? No? I’ll explain.
The Kamala Effect occurs when someone with marginal popularity, no constituency or governing experience, and no brains suddenly becomes the leader of your party’s ticket without a legitimate vote being cast. This Effect also overpowers once sensible people who suddenly feel compelled to endorse, promote, and defend a Trojan horse.
Below is my commentary on how the Kamala Effect possessed RINOs to give prime “golden ticket” real estate to the undeserving Peoria Unified Board President Rebecca Proudfit. Here is what I see.
FALSELY ACCUSED:
During a podcast episode, I made a statement that set some conservatives’ hair on fire:
"Golden tickets are tainted. There are Democrats on golden tickets now."
I was falsely accused of spreading misinformation and advised that school board candidates are thoroughly vetted. I interpreted this to mean I should “trust the process” that predates my knowledge of local elections. I haven’t been involved in politics long enough for this beast system to erode my convictions. Thus, I maintain an appropriate level of distrust for powerful people on both sides of the aisle.
Those who tote a party line and blindly follow an agenda (regardless of who gains political advantage) are what I call “low-IQ voters.” Low-IQ voters don’t challenge authority, investigate, or ask questions. These lazy/non-researchers will knock on doors and go down the ballot solely based on someone else’s recommendations. Low-IQ voting happened in real time at the LD27 meeting on August 13 and the LD28 meeting on August 19.
TINY TYRANT:
Several months ago, LD27 Chair Carol Ayotte commandeered a strategy session with Peoria community leaders and silenced every voice raised against putting a liberal on the golden ticket. That liberal is none other than Rebecca Proudfit, who was appointed by the sleazy Maricopa County Superintendent Steve Watson. Thankfully, he’s going home in November (vote Shelli Boggs for Maricopa County Superintendent!!).
Proudfit’s school board voting record is 98% leftist with a 1% concession for the Consent Agenda, and 1% for voting against the Biden mental health grant. Of course, she flip-flopped at the next board meeting. Instead of connecting and campaigning with conservatives, Proudfit runs with Democrats while “Republicans” like Ayotte are defending and supporting this behavior.
When asked why she was shoving Proudfit down everyone’s throat, Ayotte allegedly replied on every possible occasion that she wanted “the Mormon vote.” Funny, this scenario is also playing out in the Mesa school board race with another Watson minion named Courtney Davis. Like Proudfit, Davis votes and campaigns with Democrats. “Republicans” in the East Valley platformed Davis in deep red territories literally because she’s registered “R.” They, too, are chasing “the Mormon vote.”
This reminds me of how leftists target my demographic every election cycle as if being a black woman somehow increases the value of my vote. Legitimate conservatives don’t play identity politics.

When it comes to the innocence, safety, and well-being of children, I couldn’t care less if you have a “D” or an “R” behind your name. The truth is the truth, and a lie is a lie. I have no regrets about my dogged conservative stance, and I said as much in my email exchange with Ayotte. There’s always someone(s) willing to compromise their convictions, dominate, or manipulate to gain power. This will never be me. Mark my words.
GRASSROOTS BANDITS:
LD28 double agent Corky Haynes gave a presentation hinged on the false premise that Proudfit must be on the golden ticket to avoid “hurting” other candidates. Haynes also claimed the 1776 Project PAC endorsement was otherwise impossible. She announced that the PAC recognized Proudfit on a slate with Jeff Tobey and Janelle Bowles. This is a lie. They were never a slate. Even Proudfit will tell you, on an honest day, that she’s not aligned with Tobey and Bowles.
LD28 Chair Lori Bango presided over the circus tally of wins that perfectly matched the number of whipped votes from absentee PCs—most of which still haven’t watched/attended a PUSD board meeting. Deception won out and the PAC endorsed a liberal alongside two conservatives. In Mesa, school board candidates Ed Steele and Sharon Benson (absent Davis) were not endorsed by 1776. I was informed that Ayotte also moderated their meeting with the PAC. Not making accusations, just saying it’s one of those things that make you go, hmm.
Both LDs failed to provide any statistical evidence for successfully electing a slate in Peoria. Proudfit’s preferential treatment is unprecedented. If PUSD had a radical 5-0 board like Washington Elementary or Catalina Foothills, it would make sense to run a squishy liberal with two conservatives and hope the waffler throws some votes your way. But since Arizona school boards have five members—and Heather Rooks in Peoria and Rachel Walden in Mesa are seated until 2026—why not just back the strong conservatives?
Can these precinct “Republicans” not count to three?
In 2022, leftists only ran Melissa Ewing, despite two open seats, and secured a simple majority on the PUSD school board. Well played, Democrats, well played. The “Republicans” going for a supermajority in this contentious political climate must have an agenda…one that probably includes a Mormon-funded private school and lobbying for undeveloped real estate or something. But let’s not digress into speculations.
DON’T BE A LOW-IQ VOTER
Proudfit was appointed by a RINO, nominated for board president by a far-left Democrat, awarded golden ticket status by uninformed PCs, and is fully backed by LD captains with highly questionable motives. The writing is on the wall. While the majority of golden ticket candidates are conservatives (for now), these shenanigans should make us pause long enough to challenge authority, investigate, and ask questions.
Some of us should be planning a run to unseat tyrannical incumbents who’ve been in power too long. Respectfully, ringmaster Bango and the LD28 executive board knew when to step down. This is an example that Ayotte, the LD27 carnies, and many other “Republicans” should follow. Truly, Kari Lake said it best:
For anyone still wondering who created that controversial LD28 flier—it was all me! Shame on those who blamed Heather and threatened to censure her over a piece of paper. You know who you are. If you have any humility or brain cells left, you should apologize because she had nothing to do with it. Throwing away common sense and good relationships over one silly liberal is, in a word, stupid.
After all this, if you still want Proudfit in charge of Peoria’s education system, then you’re living proof that the Kamala Effect is real. My only request of you at this point is to cast votes for Jeff Tobey and Janelle Bowles FIRST. They are true conservatives and they’ve earned it.
